Learn Astronomy Online – Fun and Easy!

The universe is enormous, but with a little help you can break down your new (or old) hobby into pieces that are easy to learn and most of all fun.

The biggest hurdle to a beginning astronomer is where to start.  The amount of information on the Internet is expanding almost as fast as the universe.  It can be a daunting affair.   I know this because I had to solve the same problems that are facing you right now.   My family and I, well, mostly me wanted to learn more about astronomy, but I had no idea where to start.  I had to research everything.   This website is my way (and now since my family loves astronomy too) and my family’s way of trying to help others who are trying to jump the hurdles that we experienced.

From the best telescopes for children (I have two), astronomers equipment, astronomy telescopes review to just being able to learn astronomy online we will do our best to help you.    By the way I was referring to my two children, not two children’s telescopes above as some wise-acres pointed out to me in an email.  Thanks Dave.

Being able to learn astronomy online was the only way that i was going to have the opportunity to pursue my passion.   I didn’t have time to take courses at the local college or university, but I did have time to spend in front of the computer with my family.    Being able to learn astronomy online, at my own pace has allowed me to include my wonderful wife and my kids.    Now they love it too.   In fact, researching the best telescopes for children was one of the first tasks I set for myself.  Having them along makes everything much more fun.

So… where to from here?   Where you start isn’t as important as that you have fun doing it, but you won’t have much fun unless you can look at the stars.  I started by reading and researching until I didn’t ever want to see another astronomy telescopes review.  I’ll save you that pain by posting an astronomy telescopes review list here on the site.  Less searching the web and more searching skies is always a good motto when you want to learn astronomy online.
